This is not Sowelu. It’s an Asian model I found on Flickr. She’s got a lot of photos up…

I was watching a show on AZN television called “Pop Japan TV” and saw this chick named “Sowelu” who I thought was pretty cute in a Chiaki Kuriyama sort of way.

Turns out that Sowelu is her stage name and her Japanese name is Aki Harada. Where’d she get Sowelu from? Her grandfather is white! Ahem, excuse me. He’s Irish. My bad.

I listened to some of her music, it’s cool. I don’t understand what the hell she’s talking about obviously, aside from the one or two lines of English that they add into EVERY Asian pop song haha. It’s hilarious to hear them rattle off in their native language and then hear “I only want to be with you!” WTF?

Tell me, I want to laugh

I doubt any of you who live in areas that lack “diversity” will have seen this channel, but I like the new AZN television. Especially the cute girls

AZN TELEVISION is a cable television channel for Asian America. Programming includes Asian and Bollywood films, dramas, anime, Asian pop music, sports, originals produced in the U.S. and news from Asia. The programming appeals to a wide multigenerational Asian American audience. Programs are in various Asian languages, with many of them subtitled in English to accommodate more acculturated Asian American and non-Asian viewers.

Without AZN Television I wouldn’t have been able to watch this corny, but entertaining, Bollywood movie titled “Supari”.
